Balloon Cookies

I really, really, really want to learn how to make those beautiful, intricate cookies you see on Instagram but sadly I lack that ability. I try and try but it just doesn't happen. The cookies are bumpy, the icing is crooked or lumpy and they just don't have that star quality.

While these balloon cookies are cute for their intended purpose (a Kindergarten bake sale) they are far from perfect. The good news is they taste really good and I don't think the kids will complain.
