Derby Birthday Party

Leigh contacted me about decorating for her twin boys 5th Birthday. It's Derby Day so what better place than at a Horse Farm. She booked Wick's Farm for horseback riding but just needed some decorations.

The stables made for a perfect backdrop for dining~and most likely 5 year olds won't mind the smell! We went with a red buffalo check and roses for the design.

One of the horses (I think Daisy was her name) kept peeking out to see what was going on!

I made little pockets for silverware and the straw with a horse emblem.

I added some flower wreaths for the horses too.

My amazing husband made this Mr. Ed out of lumber then I covered a hula hoop with twine. The kids will play "Lasso the Horse" while they are waiting to ride.

They will also decorate a wooden horse with craft supplies.

I want a party here!
